Organise a Marian procession to pray for rain in Australia

The drought in Australia has reached a very serious level.  The dams in the Sydney area have reached an all-time low in their water reserves.  Other parts of Australia are also suffering from a lack of rain.

In other parts of the world which are affected by drought Marian processions are organised to pray for rain. One such procession was held in Bombay, India several years ago.  God rewarded the public display of faith by sending rain and breaking the drought.

The public prayers of many people such as in a Marian procession are much more powerful than the prayers of individuals.

Please ask your parish priest to hold a Marian procession and/or a special novena to Mary Help of Christians, the patroness of Australia, to pray for the following urgent intentions:

Rain for Australia in order to break the drought and for a “rain of grace on Australia”.

A Marian procession does not need to be elaborate.  There are some simple requirements. Here are some suggestions: a statue of our Lady should be carried in the procession, the Rosary should be said and perhaps some hymns to Our Lady can be sang.

If possible the Marian procession can be followed by Benediction in the church.

Please don't consider that this request is for someone else to carry out. We must all pull together for our country Australia.

Take a look at the home page.  It has many links to web pages inside this web site that have wonderful accounts of the miraculous intercession of saints and angels, a prayer petition page, information on sacramentals and prayers to saints, and instructional articles on Catholic issues written by a priest which are suitable for those teaching the Catholic Faith.

There are also special learning pages for children with autism and mental retardation. The reading lessons would be particularly useful to any parent of a small child, even if they are not learning disabled and there is also a housekeeping hints page. This is not a full list of what is available.

There are also links to Catholic apostolates that will be beneficial to you.  If you have enjoyed this website please recommend it to your family and friends.
